Work with customer success to identify genuine value moments and avoid inappropriate timing. A high satisfaction score can suggest a conversation, but does not prove the customer has the right network or wants to make introductions.
Name a target person, explain the business relevance and ask whether the customer genuinely knows them. Do not demand a contact list or ask them to remember everyone who might buy.
Offer an editable note and a clear next step. Let the customer decline, defer or suggest a different person. Coordinate approved requests and stop on a no.
Track requests, approvals, introductions delivered, held meetings and accepted opportunities. Monitor repeated asks and concentration so the most helpful customers do not carry the whole programme.
Orbb's Referral Agent can support this research and operating work. Keep it distinct from general advocacy: a customer can be valuable as a reference or community participant without agreeing to source new prospects.
